Optimizing your Apple iPhone Battery

We’ll look at what are the features can be temporarily switched off to optimize your iPhone battery life.

  • Airplane Mode – If you are at a bad network carrier reception, switch off this feature as the iPhone will keep searching the network signal.
  • Wi-Fi – You can switch off this feature if you are not connecting to any wireless access point to access the Internet.
  • Notifications – Switch this feature off if you do not wish to receive any alert from the iPhone applications.
  • Sounds – Put the iPhone volume to silent mode when you are at the cinema, meetings, lectures and etc.
  • Brightness – Adjust this feature level to a quarter and switch on the Auto-Brightness feature to let the iPhone automatically adjusting the brightness levels.
  • Fetch New Data – Switch this feature off whereby you can manually check for the new incoming e-mails.
  • iPod EQ – Try to switch off this feature if you always listen to music on the iPod.
  • Enable 3G – Same as the Wi-Fi, switch this feature off if you are not accessing to the Internet.
  • Internet Tethering – Switch off this feature if you are not connecting your computer to the Internet through the iPhone.
  • Auto-Lock – Set Auto-Lock to 1 minutes if you forget to lock the iPhone, it will lock it automatically.

Hi Smith,

Thanks for your comment, I have received a lot of e-mails complaining about their iPhone battery’s life. So, I think I could share my own experiences as my iPhone battery’s life also does not last more than a day and my iPhone battery’s life improved by switching off some of the features on my iPhone.
