Installing Cydia Applications – MxTube

On my previous post, I’d shown how you can tweak around the settings on your iPhone. Now, we’ll look at the Cydia application that allows you to download unlimited YouTube videos from your iPhone for free. If you appreciate the works, you can make a donation to the author. This application was available since iPhone firmware version 1.x and I think you shall hear about it. The application that I talk about is MxTube if you’re wondering.

MxTube is an iPhone YouTube videos downloader, which you get it on Cydia installer in Multimedia section. It has the streaming and downloading YouTube videos abilities on your iPhone but with its GUI designed, to watch, you need to use the search feature to look for the videos. Then from the listed search videos, press on the video and you can either stream it directly or download to your iPhone and watch it later. You can download at most two videos at a time and the rest will be in waiting status. You can watch all the downloaded videos on the videos tab.

I prefer downloading the videos to my iPhone so that I can repeat them anytime, anywhere I want. If I wish to delete it, on videos tab, press edit button and delete it. One thing I don’t like about MxTube is that I can’t view the videos’ titles in full where I need to guess or memorize them.
