With iPhone firmware 3.0, you do not need to type name and password every time on the web that requires you to log in. AutoFill names & passwords is an iPhone Safari enhanced feature, which will keep the names and passwords you’ve typed on your first log in and it’ll automatically recall the names and passwords on the next log in. To activate this, go to Settings, Safari, AutoFill and set Names & Passwords to ON.
