If your iPhone 3G 3.1.2 was not successfully jailbroken using blackra1n rc1 the initial release, GeoHotz’d released blackra1n rc2, which fixes the iPhone 3G hang at the iTunes with USB cable logo during the jailbreak is on progress issue. I’d also personally experienced this problems when I was trying to jailbreak my iPhone 3G using blackra1n. But, I’d managed to get the blackra1n jailbreak done.
Minority of the iPhone users able to fix the iPhone 3G jailbreak issue using my method and if you have not jailbreak your iPhone 3G successfully using blackra1n, you can download blackra1n rc2 and try to jailbreak again. P/S: If your iPhone 3G is successfully jailbroken, you do not need to jailbreak again using blackra1n rc2.
