If you’ve updated your iPhone baseband to version 05.11.07, you will lose the carrier unlock probably permanent. How do I know if it’s being updated? On the iPhone, navigate to Settings, General, about and check the baseband firmware. And if you perform the iPhone restore or update directly with 3.1/3.1.2 original firmware from Apple through iTunes, the baseband will be updated as well.
How can I downgrade the baseband 05.11.07 to 04.26.08? You can install fuzzyband downgrader through Cydia installer, but it only supports the iPhone with bootloader version 5.08 (5.8). Fuzzyband downgrader will check your iPhone bootloader version before it proceeds to downgrade the baseband. If the bootloader version is 5.8, tap the “Downgrade” button to start the baseband downgrade. Once downgrade process complete, install ultrasn0w to unlock and here is the steps.
My iPhone 3G baseband however can’t be downgraded as the bootloader version is 6.04 (6.4). See screen shot above. Please let me know if you’ve successfully downgraded your iPhone baseband to version 04.26.08.
P/S: Fuzzyband downgrader only support iPhone 3G.
