iPhone Dev Team had released their latest pwnagetool that is version 3.1.3 and it’s a good news for all iPhone 3GS firmware 3.0/3.0.1 owners. If your iPhone 3GS that is out of the box with firmware 3.1 preinstalled, it may not be able to be restored as the custom firmware created using pwnagetool only works on pwned iPhone 3GS.
Pwnagetool 3.1.3 is only available in Mac version and if you’re using Windows PC, you’ll need to wait the latest release of redsn0w for Windows version. But, it’s likelihood not going to be released so soon by iPhone dev team. You may want to ask a little favor from your friend who is using Mac PC to create the custom firmware for your iPhone 3GS.
