Google calendar is a web based event reminder that organizes all your schedules on the web browser. If you have used Google calendar to manage and keep track your events, you can sync them to your iPhone using CalDav. CalDav is a iPhone feature that allows you to sync between your iPhone calendar and Google calendar through the Internet access. If new events added to Google calendar, it will be added to your iPhone calendar once they are synced and vice versa. And below, I will show you how CalDav works.
Setup CalDAV on your iPhone
1. On your iPhone, navigate to “Settings”, “Mail, Contacts, Calendars”, “Add Account” and “Other”.
2. Select “Add CalDAV Account” and type in the following information to the text fields follow by “Next” button.
- Server: www.google.com
- User Name: username@gmail.com
- Password: yourpassword
- Description: Google

3. Log in to your Google calendar account and add new event.
4. On your iPhone, launch “Calendar” and the new event is added.

5. Add new event on your iPhone, then select “Calendar”.
6. Select “Google (CalDAV)” and press “Done” button.
7. Refresh your Google calendar on your web browser and you’ll find the new event is added.
With CalDAV feature, you can easily sync your iPhone calendar if you intend to restore your iPhone again. Isn’t that cool, hope you have learn something new today.
