I unlocked & jailbroken my iPhone 3G with the blacksn0w. & it keeps showing NO SERVICE. Then I will get a signal for maybe 2 minutes then NO SERVICE.

Hi Sam,

You may need to restart your iPhone and try to run the blacksn0w again. Also make sure you have set the autolock to never.

Hi,

In the last step, i see ‘Post Install Log for snow’ for so long time, it keeps loading and nothing happens, i dont see any close button.

Sorry for the late reply.

I would recommend you to use pwnagetool 3.1.4 to jailbreak and ultrasn0w to unlock your iPhone 3G. Please note that ultrasn0w only can unlock baseband 04.26.08.
I’d actually written the guide on how to update and jailbreak your iPhone 3G firmware 2.2.1 here.

Hi I have iphone 3g having 2.2.1 firmware and the same is jailbreaked. The baseband on it is 04.28.08. can you please let me know which is best way to unlock it.

Background: The same unit was previously jailbroken and unlocked but had to be restored usinf DFU mode and quickpwn as it facing”apple screen of death” problem. The sofware previously was 3.0

Hi I used blackra1n to jailbreak my iphone then used snow to do the sim unlock. The issue I am having is that sometimes the sim appears to be unlocked as I cna make calls and other times i will recieve a “Optus has disabled this hone” or something along those lines when makeing a call. Is there any way I can stop from getting this message when i make calls?
