Cydget is another jailbroken app created by Saurik (Jay Freeman) who is the founder of cydia installer. Cydget allows you to add useful widgets on the iPhone lockscreen, which you can also get them through cydia installer.
If you look at your cydia installer under Cydget (Lock) section, there is not much widget available to add to the lockscreen. But, I believe it will getting more in future. HTC Hero cydget is one of my favorite and I’d installed on my iPhone 3GS. You can also can have this widget on your iPhone lockscreen too.
HTC Hero Cydget Installation
1. You need to jailbreak your iPhone. Follow this step-by-step guide to jailbreak iPhone 3.1/3.1.2 using blackra1n.
2. Launch cydia installer, search and install “Cydget” on your iPhone.
When the installation completed, iPhone will respring.
3. Launch cydia installer again, search and install “HTC Hero Cydget” on your iPhone.
When the installation completed, iPhone will respring again.
4. On the home screen, navigate to Settings, Cydget, Lock Cydget Order and select “HTCHero”. Then, press home button.
You will find “HTC Hero Cydget” on your iPhone lockscreen after respring.
